Week 14 — a magnolia bloom, at your baby’s true size: 8.7 cm (3.4 in), crown to rump.

How big is the baby at 14 weeks?

About 8.7 cm (3.4 in), measured crown to rump — the size of a magnolia bloom.1

The fetus is around 8.5 cm from head to bottom, with the head becoming rounder and more proportionate. The fetus is moving, swallowing small amounts of amniotic fluid, and passing that fluid back as the kidneys function.

14 weeks pregnant is how many months?

Week 14 falls in the fourth month of pregnancy. Weeks and months don’t divide evenly, and your antenatal care counts in weeks — so Zohra keeps weeks, and prints the month for the relatives who ask.

That puts you in the second trimester (weeks 14–27).

What might you be noticing?

Bloating, constipation, and heartburn may continue. Dizziness and feeling warmer than usual are also possible.1

Keep a light layer nearby for rooms that suddenly feel too warm. Add one practical question and one personal hope to your next-visit note.

For the record: Where did strength and softness meet in your week? — this week’s page in the app asks the same thing. All forty prompts are here.
