Sourced, and careful
Ask answers the ordinary questions that arrive between appointments, in plain language, from sources it will show you. It is written to be careful rather than confident, which are not the same thing.
Categories, never percentages
An answer is marked Everyday or Worth mentioning. It is never marked 84% confident. A number attached to a medical judgement is a precision nobody has, and dressing uncertainty up as arithmetic is the single easiest way for an app like this to hurt somebody.
When something belongs in front of a clinician, Ask says so and stops. It does not hedge, and it does not try to be useful instead.
It writes your questions down
Anything marked worth mentioning becomes a note for your next appointment, so you arrive with the question you had three weeks ago rather than the one you can still remember in the waiting room.
