Privacy policy

What you record in Zohra is among the most personal data an app can hold. This page is the operative document about how it is handled.

Version 1.0 · last updated 17 August 2026 · operated by MK Studios. The website sections are in force now; the app sections take effect when Zohra is released on the App Store. Plain-English version: the privacy promise.

1. This website

zohrababy.com sets no cookies. It runs no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no cross-site trackers. There is nothing to consent to because nothing is being collected about you here.

The site is served as static files by our hosting provider (Vercel), which keeps ordinary server request logs — IP address, timestamp, the URL requested, and the browser’s user-agent string — for operational and security purposes. We do not join those logs to any person and do not use them for marketing. Fonts are served from Google Fonts, which receives the request in the ordinary course of serving a font file.

If you email us, we hold that email in order to answer it.

2. The app: the free tier holds nothing of yours

Zohra’s free tier runs on your device. Journal entries, letters, milestones, photographs and recordings made on the free tier are stored on your phone and are not uploaded to our servers. There is no account. Anonymous diagnostics, described in section 5, are the only thing that leaves the device.

3. The app: what the paid tier collects

Zohra Plus adds sync and the shared partner space, which cannot work without storing your record. When you turn it on, these categories are collected:

  • AccountName and email, held by our sign-in provider. Sync and partner sharing require an account.
  • Pregnancy recordDue date, week, symptoms, moods, journal entries, milestones, and photos. It is your record — synced so you do not lose it.
  • RecordingsAudio you choose to record, such as at an appointment. A keepsake. Never analysed for a medical reading — no rate detection, no diagnostics, and never a listening device.
  • Partner spaceWhat is in the space you invited someone to. A space has two members; access can be ended.
  • Ask conversationsQuestions you ask and the answers given. To answer you, and to keep your history for you.
  • PurchasesSubscription status from Apple and our billing provider. Knowing what you have paid for.

4. What we never do

  • No advertising, anywhere in Zohra.
  • No selling or sharing personal information for advertising — including de-identified or aggregate sharing. No data brokers.
  • No use of pregnancy or health data for marketing, profiling, or derived “insights” products.
  • No medical analysis of your recordings, and no AI interpretation of scans.
  • No tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites.

5. Diagnostics

Crash reports and anonymous product-usage counts help us fix what breaks. They never carry your entries, photographs, recordings or Ask conversations as payloads. They tell us that a screen failed, not what was on it.

6. How AI is involved

The Ask feature is answered by AI under a safety policy: ordinary questions get direct answers, and a fixed list of urgent topics always returns guidance to seek care instead. Questions are processed by AI providers under contracts that prohibit training on your data. Ask is information and companionship. It is not medical advice, and the app says so where it matters.

7. Who processes data on our behalf

Service providers under contract, and no one else, except where the law compels us: our database and sync provider (Convex), our sign-in provider (Clerk), Apple and our billing provider for purchases, AI model providers for Ask under no-training contracts, our crash-reporting provider, and our product-analytics provider. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

8. Legal demands

We can only produce what we hold — and on the free tier we hold no pregnancy record and no account. Where we do hold data and receive a legally valid demand, we comply only to the extent legally required, and we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

9. How long anything is kept

Your record is kept while your account is active, because it is a keepsake and that is the point. Delete an entry and it is deleted. Delete your account and everything goes: from production systems within 30 days, and from encrypted backups within 90 days. How to delete your account

10. Your rights

You can, at any time:

  • See and correct your information — almost everything you gave us is visible and editable inside the app.
  • Get a copy of your data by writing to privacy@zohrababy.com.
  • Delete your account and data, from inside the app.

If you live in California, you have the rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, access, correct, delete, port, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. If you live in the EU or UK, you have the equivalent rights under the GDPR; our legal bases are performance of contract (running the service), legitimate interest (security and crash diagnostics), and consent where we ask for it. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those laws define it, so there is nothing to opt out of. To exercise any right, write to privacy@zohrababy.com; we verify requests and answer within the legally required window.

11. Children

Zohra is for expecting and new parents, who are adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Data about your baby is entered by you and belongs to you.

12. Security

Data moves over encrypted connections and is stored with providers that maintain industry-standard access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you as the law requires.

13. If a pregnancy ends

Reminders can be paused instantly in the app, and anything — or everything — can be deleted without friction. If you would rather we did it, write to privacy@zohrababy.com. You will not be asked why.

14. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The current version always lives at this address, with its version number and date at the top.

15. Contact

Privacy questions and requests: privacy@zohrababy.com. Everything else: support@zohrababy.com. Our registered entity details and postal address are provided on request.
