Week 13
A Tulip bloom (~6–8 cm cup) opens with clean, steady lines. It marks the start of a new trimester without promising that every symptom—or every feeling—changes on schedule.

How big is the baby at 13 weeks?
About 6.7 cm (2.6 in), measured crown to rump — the size of a tulip bloom.1
The fetus is around 7.4 cm long and is moving, though those movements may not be felt yet. Movements are becoming more deliberate, and sucking motions help develop the sucking reflex needed for feeding later.
13 weeks pregnant is how many months?
Week 13 falls in the third month of pregnancy. Weeks and months don’t divide evenly, and your antenatal care counts in weeks — so Zohra keeps weeks, and prints the month for the relatives who ask.
That puts you in the first trimester (weeks 1–13).
What might you be noticing?
Bloating, constipation, indigestion or heartburn, and breast tenderness can continue into the second trimester. Gum swelling or bleeding is also listed as a possible symptom this week.1
Take a fresh photo of something that represents the transition into this trimester. Clear one small surface or folder for the paperwork and keepsakes that may start to gather.
For the record: What are you carrying forward from the first trimester, and what can stay behind? — this week’s page in the app asks the same thing. All forty prompts are here.
