Week 34 — a snapdragon, at your baby’s true size: 45 cm (17.7 in), head to heel.

How big is the baby at 34 weeks?

About 45 cm (17.7 in), measured head to heel — the size of a snapdragon.1

Your baby is curled inside the uterus with legs bent toward the chest. Space is tighter, but shifting movement and changes in the shape of the bump can still happen.

34 weeks pregnant is how many months?

Week 34 falls in the eighth month of pregnancy. Weeks and months don’t divide evenly, and your antenatal care counts in weeks — so Zohra keeps weeks, and prints the month for the relatives who ask.

That puts you in the third trimester (weeks 28–40).

What might you be noticing?

Colostrum may appear. breasts can leak small amounts of yellowish early milk, whether or not breastfeeding becomes part of your feeding plan.

Sleep and back. sleeping problems and backache can continue.

Practice tightenings. painless Braxton Hicks tightenings may come and go.

Choose clothing and layers by comfort, not expectation. Put a towel or washable pad where it would make breast leakage feel less disruptive, whatever feeding path you plan.
